~about me~

My name is Tena Melson.  I teach Kindergarten at Southside School.  I am so excited begin my 29^th year of teaching at the school I attended as a child; how cool is that?  I graduated from MTSU in with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.

~my family~

I love spending time with my family, going to the beach, but I love spending time at home!  I have been married for 29 years to Josh Melson.  We have three wonderful children, two who are grown and one who is in her Junior year at Community High School.

We are active at The Experience Community Church in Shelbyville and love serving there! 

I am looking forward to an amazing year of teaching and learning!
