Meet Mrs. Ball!

 

Bienvenidos! Welcome!

 

Hello! My name is Mrs. Lauren Ball. I am beginning my 5th year of teaching. This will be my 2nd year teaching ESL at Southside Elementary. I live in Shelbyville with my husband, Ben. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs at home. I enjoy reading, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. I have a background in competitive swimming. I am the head coach of the Shelbyville Swim Club and the high school swim teams. 

 

I am originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from Indiana University Purdue University - Indianapolis in Elementary Education (K-5) with a concentration in English as a Second Language.  I student taught in Indianapolis and in Costa Rica. I graduated in May of 2021 from Western Governor's University with my Master's degree in English as a Second Language Education (Pre-K to 12). I am excited to return for another great year at Southside!
