Growing Greatness!
I am so excited and proud to be the Assistant Principal at Southside Elementary School! The 2023-2024 school year will be an exciting one of GROWING GREATNESS! This is our theme for this school year, and we are ready to watch our students not only grow, but thrive!
This is my seventeenth year as an educator in Bedford County. I have experience teaching kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grades. Most recently, I served for six years as the RTI & Testing Coordinator at Shelbyville Central High School. My experience has taught me that I LOVE students of all ages and grade levels, but I am over the moon about returning to my elementary roots! Southside Elementary School is something special, and I am proud to be part of this team!
My husband and I live on a family farm in an old (really old) family home. We have two children in college, one dog, and two cats. Grayson will soon graduate from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with his degree in Construction Science Management, and Macy will follow not long after with a degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Fashion Merchandising. Tripp is a Captain at the City of Shelbyville Fire Department and semi-retired cattle farmer! We love the beach and the lake, and any family time we can find!
I am a passionate educator, and I believe in the power of our schools in Bedford County! Southside Elementary School has amazing students, incredible educators, fantastic families, and the best community! Growing Greatness is what we are about - in our students, in our teachers, and schoolwide!
