💙❤️ Honoring Our Heroes❤️💙
Across #BedfordCountySchools, #students and staff recently came together to celebrate and honor the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️💙
Each of our schools found meaningful ways to show their appreciation — from heartfelt messages to special gatherings that paid tribute to our Veterans.
We’re proud to share just a few highlights from across the district, because we truly love our Veterans! #ThankYou to everyone who helped make these celebrations so special!🫶

Thankful for the Kindness That Warms Our Students and Our Community🧥
Our community came together once again for the 3rd Annual Coat Drive hosted by New Vision Baptist Church, and thanks to your generosity, dozens of #students across #BedfordCountySchools will stay warm this winter. This year, an incredible 107 new coats—along with many more gently used ones—were donated to help keep kids cozy through the cold months. ❄️🧤
We want to send a special #ThankYou to New Vision Baptist Church and #CommunityHighSchool alumna Haley Mitchell for leading this heartwarming effort and inspiring others to give back.❤️Thank you to our maintenance team for pickup and delivery!
We are so grateful for the kindness, compassion and community spirit that make a difference every single year.

What a spooktacular celebration of school spirit and community at #SouthsideElementarySchool! This year’s Salamander Sprint Fundraiser was filled with excitement as #students ran in costumes, cheered each other on and celebrated their fundraising success. 👻🎽
Every #student enjoyed a victory lap, and those who raised additional funds earned extra fun — from a bubble lap to silly stringing a teacher of their choice! 🎈 Students also earned prizes like popcorn, snow cones and Halloween treat bags. 🍿🍧🎃 The school’s top two sellers will even get to serve as Principal or Assistant Principal for the Day! 👩🏫👨🏫
#ShelbyvilleCentralHighSchool TAP (Teaching as a Profession) II students joined in the fun, supporting the elementary students they work with each week and adding even more encouragement and enthusiasm. 🙌
Thanks to the amazing participation and generosity of the school community, the event raised $7,000 to support Southside Elementary! 💙🦎
