Second graders at Southside Elementary School were filled with excitement as they watched baby chicks hatch in their classroom! As part of a hands-on science project, students learned about the life cycle of a chicken, from egg to hatchling. After patiently waiting 21 days, the class cheered as tiny, fluffy chicks broke through their shells. The students are now helping care for the chicks by keeping them warm and feeding them, making this a memorable and educational experience for everyone.
